What is the People’s Stage?
Every year, many Wisdom 2.0 participants ask how they can share their great work, insights, and presentations with our community. We are happy to announce the return of The People’s Stage to our 2017 annual conference.
The People’s Stage is a series of interactive breakout sessions submitted by registered conference attendees and selected by popular community vote. The People’s Stage has space for 130 participants, as it is designed for more intimate, interactive sessions. Sessions are about 18 minutes long.

Title: The Science of Mindfulness in the Workplace
Description: My name is Jason Beck and I am a PhD student in Positive Organizational Psychology. I wish to speak at People's Stage about "The Science of Mindfulness in the Workplace". This is an important topic because businesses need to learn about specific ways mindfulness can be integrated. We know about vague benefits, but most conversations do not discuss the specificities within the research. This is important because for many business people, mindfulness is still fluffy. Therefore we are limiting the outreach.
By then end of this talk, I will give three learning points to the audience of coaches, consultants or anyone: 1. what does it mean to have scientific rigor, 2. clearly outline the benefits of mindfulness in the workplace, and 3. specific actions to implement mindfulness in your life, your work relationships, or the organization you are trying to build.
